Gas prices in Greenville, NC and Eastern North Carolina are on the rise! This week they have reached an all time record for Greenville. According to Gas Buddy and Mapquest for Greenville, the price for a gallon of gas has now risen to $3.55 to $3.60.
This has broken the record that was set back in September of 2005 during Hurricane Katrina. The highest price we saw during the hurricane was $3.49.
The high gas prices is just not Greenville, it is across the whole country. A barrel of oil has reached a new all time high of just over $118. Analysts are saying it is due to the higher demand in foreign countries like India and China along with a weaker dollar.
