Recycling Information
The sanitation department provides recycling collection for single and multi-family residents. Recycling is collected weekly from the backyard in up to two 32 gallon containers with lids. A City recycling decal must be placed on these containers. The decals can be obtained from the Public Works Department at 1500 Beatty Street or contact them at (252) 329-4527 to request a decal(s) be mailed to you.
Residents that have curbside recycling pickup must bring their recycling containers to the curb on their scheduled day of service. It is not mandatory, but the city really encourages it!
