
Ahoy! The pirates have been spotted over the Atlantic heading to North Carolina. They will soon be taking over Greenville, NC next weekend for Piratefest 2008! This festival celebrates Eastern North Carolina’s history of pirates, including the famous Blackbeard, along with the Pirates of East Carolina University. Events included in this year’s Piratefest are:
- Uptown Arts Festival Along Evans Street - April 11
- International Festival on the Town Commons - April 12
- Great Purple Gold Pigskin Pigout
- Pirate Alumni 5K and Fun Run - April 12
- Carnival (Next to ECU’s Football/Baseball Complex) - April 9-13
- Piratefest Street Fair - April 12
- International Festival Stage at the Greenville Toyota Amphitheater
11:00 am Wake and District Pipe Band
11:45 am American Turkish Association of North Carolina
12:30 pm India Association of Eastern North Carolina
12:45 pm Overtime (Bosnians)
1:30 pm Kusun
2:45 pm ECU Asian Student Association
3:00 pm Mirage
3:30 pm Greenville Chinese School
